This is what you get in your log home kit!

The Sierra "Complete Dry-In Log Package" is made up of the "Log Package Components" and the "Dry-In Material Package Components"(see Breakaway image below).

Even though our "Log Package Components" can be purchased separately, the added value benefits of purchasing the "Complete Dry-In Log Package" are something to consider:

• "Peace of mind" through new home insured warranties- we include both the 10 year structural warranty and the 3 year extended mechanical warranty packages for the most complete protection.
  
• "Save Money" through our guaranteed material packaging and pricing- once Sierra has agreed upon a price, your full materials package is guaranteed to be what the plans are calling for...no hidden purchases.
• "Confidence of quality material" through our quality products guarantee- Sierra backs its log production with a quality guarantee and TP grading standards and purchases name brand building materials such as Pella, TJI, Boisie Cascade, etc, to make sure the best possible building materials are used in your log home.
• "Ease of building" through our intense technical customer service- weather you purchase just logs or the full package, our technical building knowledge is second to none. It gets even more intense when we provide the full building materials package because we know what materials are being used and where they belong and most of the time how they are installed.
  

LOG PACKAGE COMPONENTS

CUSTOM DESIGN & ENGINEERED PLANS - the log package normally includes full custom designed and a project site specific engineered set of plans (see "Design & Engineering" web pages). If you already have a set of plans, then we would not include this service.

LOG WALLS and CORNER SYSTEM - the log package starts with the log walls, its corner system and includes all the hardware (lags, rods & gasket) needed to build the walls. Sierra has the largest variety of log sizes, shapes and species in the market (see log products). Log walls can be cut using a random length method or a pre-cut method (see log products).

LOG and/or SIDED GABLES - the gables can be designed with either solid log gables or framed and sided gables. If it is solid gables, they would be packaged with same material as the log walls. If it is siding, then it would be just the siding (the framing components would be in the "Dry-In" components package).

LOG and/or SIDED DORMERS - the dormers (shed and/or dog house) can be designed with either solid log dormers or framed and sided dormers. If it is solid dormers, they would be packaged with same material as the log walls. If it is siding, then it would be just the siding (the framing components would be in the "Dry-In" components package).

LOG LOFT- we include the structural log girder and its log posts to support the loft framed floor. As an option, you can order the loft floor with a small amount of log joists or as a full structural log floor system with logs typically at 4' on center.

LOG LOFT RAIL & POSTING- we include beautiful log railing with log posts surround the open loft

LOG LOFT STAIRS- we include an awesome open log stair system (typically 12" log parts) tops off our log loft components. Log railing material and log posts are included with the stair parts.

LOG RIDGE & POST- we include a structural ridge (typically a 12" log, but could be a timber or glue lam depending upon design & structural demands). Also included are the log posts to support the ridge.

LOG TRUSS- we will also include incredible log truss parts when your roof system needs such structure.

LOG PURLINS & RAFTERS (optional)- if your desire is a more traditional looking log roof system, we can design it with either log purlins and/or log rafters.

LOG COVERED PORCH & CARPORTS - we include the log posts, log headers and log trusses for these awesome structures. We also include the log railing for the covered porches. As an option, we can use log rafters and/or log purlins to form the roof structure instead of the standard roof framing.

LOG DECK RAILING & POSTS - we also include all the deck posts above and below to support the deck framing. As a final compliment to these beautiful decks is log railing.

DRY-IN PACKAGE COMPONENTS

10 YEAR STRUCTURAL WARRANTY (INSURED)- Sierra insures your structure through an outside insurance company for a stated value ($100,000 minimum) in your name. This insurance covers all the structural components (both log and framing) "sill plate up" for 10 years. (see coverage book)

3 YEAR EXTENDED MECHANICAL WARRANTY (INSURED)- Sierra also purchases an extended warranty on the majority of your mechanical devices such as: plumbing, electrical, hvac, well pump, etc. The coverage is purchased through an insurance company and either extends your warranties for 3 years starting a year after you move in or it can start from the day you move in. (see coverage booklet)

MAIN FLOOR FRAMING (OPTIONAL)- Sierra does not normally supply the main floor framing because it is usually built prior to our log delivery. But do to our nationwide network of lumber providers, you can option us to package the main floor sub-floor with the basement framing as part of your complete dry-in package.We will have this delivered to your job site prior to your log delivery so you can be ready to erect the logs as soon as the arrive.
